Summer Camp at The Co-op School
Join our 2017 Summer Camp program at The Co-op School for ages two to six! Located at 87 Irving Place, Brooklyn — we’ve got two rooftop playgrounds with gardens and an indoor recreation room. Our collaborative Co-op School approach to experience-based learning continues all summer. Days are filled with art, music, stories, yoga, dance, and playground games.
Preschool Program: Campers ages two and three start their day with a morning meeting or circle-time to introduce the music and movement activities of the day. The day’s schedule includes plenty of outside time with water play and sprinklers on our rooftop playgrounds. Quiet times include arts and crafts.
Half-Day Morning Program: Our half-day camper explore both of our rooftop playgrounds and work with our music and movement specialists for a full camp experience—all before lunch.
Ages Four to Six: This is a place where campers can get messy! Kids will explore hands-on science projects, construct 3D artistic creations, and try new playground games. Our program teams up musicians and movers, painters and players, scientists and sculptors for inventive collaborations.
Field Trip Camp for Age Six: Each one-week program takes our adventurers to themed destinations throughout Brooklyn. Day one brings the group together and sets the stage for a week of safe and curious travel via public transportation.
