TUESDAY FEBRUARY 21

Come out and join Friends of Nebinger, Friends of Jackson, Friends of Southwark, Friends of Vare-Washington, and Friends of Kirkbride for a shared South Philly Schools Happy Hour at Hawthorne’s on 11th and Fitzwater! Donations will be made to each school; kids are welcome and supplies will be provided for them to write thank you notes to all their teachers – a great way to keep them busy while the grown ups mingle! 5:00pm-7:00pm/Donations welcome

If you’re looking for some assistance with your taxes, head to H&R Block Family Tax Help event at East Passyunk Recreation Center, which will cover topics such as Path Act, Education credits, Earned Income and child tax credits, Second Look and Healthcare. This event will be in Spanish and English. 6:00pm-7:30pm/Free

Glenside Library and TechGirlz workshop, Intro to Arduino Programming invites middle school girls to learn how to use arduinos and program them to make a board of LEDs light up. Space is limited to 8 participants, please register. 6:00pm/Girls 11-14/Free


WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 22

Head to The Reading Terminal Market‘s Book Nook for Story Time with The Free Library of Philadelphia. Stick around for a yummy lunch before you leave! 10:00am-12:00pm/Ages 3-5/Free

Grab some YOU time with Pre and Post Natal Yoga at Nest Center City focusing on the areas of the body most often affected by being a mama (upper back, shoulders, low back). 10:30am/Pregnant & new mamas/Free

Head to Lilypad for Rhythm Babies Music Class where your little one will move, shake and experience different types of music with other kiddos their age. 12:00pm-12:45pm/Ages 4 months – 2 years/$12 drop in


THURSDAY FEBRUARY 23

Head to Primp & Play for an “Ask the Expert”evening hosted by A Child Grows with local parenting and family coach, Brandi Davis, founder of Child & Family Coaching and Philly Mag’s 2016 pick for “Best Parenting Guru“. Brandi is also a regular contributor on Fox Good Day  This month’s talk will be focusing on parenting “resolutions” that can be made all year round, including streamlining discipline, finding your “no” in a positive way, and, yes, even sometimes breaking the rules. 5:30pm-8:00pm/Primp & Play Member $20; Non-member $25

Head to Mama’s Wellness Joint for their Breastfeeding Support Group with Danielle Chu to meet other mamas and support one another. 3:30pm-4:30pm/$5 suggested donation
