At Tinkergarten, we provide the best early childhood learning for 18-months to 8 years in the healthiest classroom of all – the outdoors. See a list of classes in Brooklyn at tinkergarten.com/classes.
Tinkergarten classes are led by talented members of the Brooklyn community – many parents themselves – who are trained to give kids a rich learning experience and parents a unique window into their children’s learning. Tinkergarten classes are designed to help kids become well-balanced people who can problem-solve, lead, and create.
Tinkergarten is not a typical kids’ class – we share ideas with educational frameworks like Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia, but we’re much more. Out blueprint curriculum includes activities for your child’s class that are geographically relevant, age appropriate, span a broad range of skills, and progressively build on one another week after week, season after season. Most importantly, they are wildly fun!
The most critical social development happens in the first 5 years. Tinkergarten is purposefully designed to bring kids together with their peers, their parents, and allow moms and dads to bond with their child in a more meaningful way. Our classes bring back something that seems to be lost on this new generation — something that was a most influential part of our own childhoods — free time to tinker outdoors.
