Winter Carnival in Bryant Park
Daily 12n-10p until Saturday February 4th. Free. Bundle up and come on out for the 3rd annual Winter Carnival at Bank of America Winter Village! Embrace the frosty weather and join us for a celebration of the winter season. Collective Presents: Babel at the 14th Street Y (Stuyvesant Town/East Village)
Monday January 30th 730p and various times until Wednesday February 1st-Sunday February 5th. See below for details. Tickets: $35 General admission, $25 student/senior, $15 youth (12 & under) and $70 premium. Running Time: 75 minutes. A story told through Acrobatic Dance theater, Babel is a physical spectacle that reinvents one of the oldest stories in the world: The Tower of Babel. It calls upon diverse perspectives of the story to reveal ambition, grief, and healing within the complexity of the human condition. The story is told by 22 powerful dancers.

Lavender Blues at Green Moments Studio (Clinton Hill)
Tuesdays 11-1140a. $15/drop-in. Lavender Blues is an intimate music & movement session for babies and toddlers. During our 40 minute classes kids develop an understanding of rhythm and music, build awareness and control of their body as well as develop social and coordination skills—all while singing, dancing and having fun! We sit in a circle, sing songs, play instruments, have movement with our fingers, arms and feet, as well as march, dance, and play with a ginormous parachute!! Afternoon Sing Along at Edamama Cute Cuts & More (Williamsburg)
Tuesdays 345-430p. Drop-in: $8 per class. Age group: Babies and toddlers up to 4 years old. Our staple sing along is now in the afternoons on Tuesdays. Our sing-alongs are fun and full of contagious energy! Expect to hear old favorites, new hits, and unique original music, and be prepared to have fun and dance! You’ll also meet other moms in the neighborhood. Rock with Rob and enjoy afternoons right after nap but before dinner!! There are also singalongs Wednesday & Thursday at 1030a.

Two hours of fun on the field to get you out of your house and moving in the morning every Wednesday. We provide the coffee to keep you sane and the toys to keep them occupied.
Lilypad Sing-a-longs at Flying Squirrel (Greenpoint)
Wednesdays 10-1045a until March 29th. $13 drop in. Lilypad Music is run by Miss Lily – a singer/songwriter with a passion for music, kids, community… and of course, fun! Together with fellow performer and singer/songwriter Carl Banks they make up the kids band “The Lilypads” – www.thelilypads.bandcamp.com. Together they perform together at their wildly popular sing-a-long. Incorporating classic kids songs, original songs, Spanish & multi-cultural songs, well as movement based group activities and of course shakers and scarves this class is perfect for ages 0-4 and the grownups who love them.
Groundhog Day Guess-A-Thon at the Kensington Brooklyn Public Library
Wednesday February 1st 10a-6p. Free. On February 2nd, according to tradition, if groundhog Puxatawney Phil sees his shadow, it means 6 more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t, spring is coming soon. Come in and guess which it will be and come back Thursday 4-5p for a Groundhog Day Celebration!

Sing & Move at Monkey Do! Yoga (Gowanus)
Thursdays 11a. Drop in $12 (per caregiver/child pair) Additional Family Member $6. Packs also available. Sing and Move in this active sing-a-long. Live instruments, props, and fun! This 45 minute movement and music class will lead toddlers and parents through a series of simple poses accompanied by story songs and live music (kids love the ukulele!). We will also explore rhythm with clapping exercises and percussive toy instruments.
Green Skyscraper Challenge with ArchforKids at the Greenpoint Brooklyn Public Library
Thursday February 2nd 330-430p. Free. Sustainable towers are shaping the future of tall buildings, and utilizing green technologies on an entirely new scale. Join the global movement of green skyscraper design by constructing your own model eco-tower.
Zip, Zap, Zoom: Comics for Kids at Private Picassos Studio (Park Slope)
Thursdays 415-5p until March 30th (no class February 23rd). For ages 4-7y. $28/drop-in (space permitting; pre-registration is encouraged) or $250/ten week semester — $25/class when signing up for the full semester (or remainder of). Budding comic artists and enthusiasts will learn the basics to create their own comic book through hands-on activities and explorations of contemporary comic artists.
Jungle Discovery at the Jewish Children’s Museum (Crown Heights)
Ongoing until Thursday February 23rd. Hours are Sunday-Thursday 1-3p. Free with Museum admission. Recommended for children 3+. Did you know a Giraffe can grow up to 18 feet tall? Or that Lions are always in a Pride? Step into our new temporary exhibit and discover fascinating lessons we can learn from the animals in the Jungle!
Playgroup at Bija Kids (Clinton Hill)
Monday-Thursday until March 2nd 330-p. For ages 1-3y. Spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Playgroup has a capacity of 15 families. $15/drop in (space permitting) or $125/10 visits. NEWLY REENVISIONED Bija Playgroup is an introduction to Bija curriculum for our youngest participants – ages 1-3 years. Each session includes guided free play in our beautiful classroom space with puzzles, blocks, dough, dramatic play and art materials as well as a teacher led activity. Our approach is interactive and joyful and we pride ourselves on creating an environment conducive to learning in fun and engaging ways. Sign up for one or more days a week or drop in (space permitted). Parent or caregiver participation required. Playgroup is a perfect introduction to our drop off programs, preschool and camp. Twinkle Playspace (Williamsburg)

Located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Twinkle’s 4500 square foot play space has innovative custom-made exhibits to cater to any child’s wildest imagination. These special exhibits, designed for the under 6 crowd, are a harmonious blend of urban life and nature that encourages the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of a child in an accessible, high-quality learning environment. Twinkle hosts open play 7 days a week and children can also have an unforgettable birthday with exclusive use of our playspace! Welcome to Curiosity on Court, a world of energy busting excitement! Our custom designed play structures and exhibits were created to raise the curiosity and fuel the imagination of kids 1–10 yrs old. Whether they’re conquering our climbing wall, taking a ride on the subway, making connections on the magnetic wall or finding their route through our multi-level play structure, there’s hours of fun for everyone. 15th Annual Holiday Train Show in Grand Central (Midtown)
Ongoing until Sunday February 26th, 2017. Hours: Monday–Friday 8a-8p; Saturday–Sunday 10a-6p. Free. Come celebrate the holiday season with us! This year’s Holiday Train Show display will feature a 34-foot-long “O gauge” model train layout with Lionel’s model Metro-North, New York Central, and vintage subway trains running on eight separate loops of track, against a backdrop featuring graphics celebrating the Museum’s 40th anniversary by artist Julia Rothman. Vintage “O gauge” and “N gauge” model trains and a selection of Transit Museum Collection ½” scale trolley models made by Dr. George Rahilly will also be on view. Ed Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3-5p and also Saturdays and Sundays from 1–5p. Free. The Ed Center is open for free, drop-in hours three afternoons a week! Get to know Brooklyn Bridge Park with our 250 gallon aquarium filled with critters from the East River, a 10’ scale model of Brooklyn Bridge Park, crafts, a reading corner, and much more!
