Brooklyn has so much to offer families with young children! There are cultural, educational, musical and play-based events going on everyday for the picking. That’s why we wanted to share this exciting news with you! We all love the Brooklyn Children’s Museum in Crown Heights and what great news it is to learn that there will be more of it! Their annex at the Brooklyn Bridge Park near DUMBO will be on the East River. The annex’s opening will be called “Spark,” inside of the luxury residential development One John Street on Saturday, October 15th.
Thursday will feature free hours from 1-6pm, but all other admission times will cost you $15 per child.
Spark will have an art studio, a Brooklyn Block Lab (centered on building blocks made for early childhood learning), and a Discovery Den for the museum’s collection of kid-friendly science specimens and artifacts.
Stephanie Wilchfort, museum president and CEO, said in a statement, “Forever committed to serving the families of Brooklyn, Brooklyn Children’s Museum will be able to reach tens of thousands of more children and caregivers.”
HERE is more info for fall classes and activities.
Admission at the flagship location at Crown Heights will still cost only $11. Thursdays from 2-6pm are free at this location.
