Want to Carol with Your Brooklyn Neighbors?

December 22, 2012

Hoyt Street Association Carolers in 2011

Don’t worry if you don’t know the words (song sheets will be provided), don’t worry if you don’t sing well (jingle bells will be provided): all you need to do is have the energy and spirit!

Join your neighbors for caroling tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 23rd at 7:00 PM (Please be on time!). Children are definitely invited!

The Hoyt Street Association has been caroling in Boerum Hill for many years and it’s become a great neighborhood tradition.  They sing outside of the homes of people who are new to the neighborhood, older residents, shut-ins, people who have a new baby or those who have suffered a loss. At each location, they ring the doorbell, stand at the sidewalk and sing two songs and then move on to the next location.

If you wish, please bring a musical instrument and/or a flashlight.  Song sheets, Santa hats, jingle bells are provided. No singing experience is necessary.

Sunday, Dec. 23rd at 7:00 PM (Please be on time!)
Meet at 155 Dean Street (corner of Hoyt Street on the steps of the Hopkins Center.)

***if you are having a party or know someone who needs some cheer, please email cusackart@aol.com to see if you can put it on the route.
