Tonight: 2 School Panels: Preschool, MS and HS

Tonight is a school night for parents! This evening, two panels, both in Brooklyn, tackle issues of admissions, application procedures and options.

One panel is for preschool only and the other will be on both middle school and high school.

Families First, a non-profit that offers classes and parenting workshops, is hosting its annual Preschool Forum tonight from 7pm – 9pm in Cobble Hill.  Panelists will discuss preschool readiness, different curriculum philosophies and navigating the admissions process.  Time will be allotted at the end of the forum for Q & A.

There will be a panel of preschool directors and early childhood specialists, including:

Insideschools, the website which has information and resources for parents on New York City public schools, will be presenting a free workshop about middle and high school admissions at the Carroll Gardens Library (6-7 PM will focus on middle schools and 7-8 PM on high schools).  Pamela Wheaton, Insideschools.org’s managing editor, will be discussing admissions policies, application procedures and deadlines, what to look for in a school and how to find the best fit for your child. Parents are encouraged to come with questions.
Details: The Carroll Gardens Library is at 396 Clinton Street, at the corner of Union Street. Admission is free.
