The P.A.L.Workshops Series is a monthly dialogue for New York City-based parents, teachers and others who work with accelerated learners and want to better understand topics relevant to their cognitive, social & emotional development.
Experts and practitioners in the field of gifted education and parent advocates join the panels for a conversation about educating and nurturing these unique learners.
This 2012-2013 Season, P.A.L. has a great line-up, including their next, a roundtable discussion, What’s Happening to Gifted & Talented Education in NYC? which will provide the big picture of NYC’s G&T programs. They are tackling middle school with a panel on Critical Issues for The NYC Middle Schooler. For parents who are the first respondents when their child needs homework help, they launched Homework Helper: Mini Session on Math with specialists who will show you effective strategies, games, apps and more that you can use with your child to make math more meaningful. And Summer Slide Prevention: Enriching Experiences and Engaging Summertime Activities to Prevent Summer Learning Loss along with their P.A.L. G&T Speedsourcing event are also back in time for summer.
