Kids Music Listings this Weekend: July 27,28,29

July 27, 2012

If you are 35 plus years old, you might have been lucky enough to see the original 1979 Muppet Movie in theaters (like me). I will never forget the Muppets big screen debut, and seeing it again 33 years later in Prospect Park is not an opportunity I want to miss. This Saturday, join hundreds on a nostalgic trip on the Muppet train as you watch and sing along with tribute band Loser’s Lounge (another favorite of mine). Slip on those boots and a kerchief for square dancing this Saturday at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan for two hours of sweat stomping fun. Those are our picks!

There’s also magician LuckyBob, who can juggle hats, balance objects on his face and even read minds, all while keeping kids laughing. Families can then amp up their best dance moves at a free hip hop class in the park and try them out at the Little Club Heads dance party.
