Calling All Gleeks ages 8-18 years!

Do you have a kid who is interested in performing or least curious about what it takes? There is an opportunity for them to try out for a position in TADA!’s Resident Youth Ensemble Program to learn how to do it all: sing, act and dance!

On Wednesday, October 13th & 15th (4:00 – 6:00), your child can audition for the Youth Ensemble Program that was winner of  the White House’s  “Coming Up Taller” Award and the first youth ensemble ever recognized by the prestigious Drama Desk Awards. There are 25 available spots for the upcoming season.

Open to all kids ages 8 – 18 who like to sing, act and dance, TADA!’s Resident Youth Ensemble Program is a  totally free program and those auditioning require no previous experience—just raw talent and commitment.  The season includes free training in singing, acting and dancing. In addition, the ensemble presents Off-Broadway musical main-stage productions  each season at their theater on West 28 Street.

TADA!’s programs have helped launch the careers of such rising stars including Sasha Allen (Hair),  Ben Levin (“As the World Turns”),  Ricki Lake (“The Ricki Lake Show,” Hairspray), Mizuo Peck (Night at the Museum), Josh Peck (”Drake and Josh, The Wackness, Ice Age),  Jordan Peele (EMMY Award Nominee, “MadTV”),  Victoria Platt Tilford (“The Gates,” My Girlfriends Back, Ride Along), Amar Ramasar (principle dancer for NY City Ballet), Aurora Rose (Central Parks Summer Stage), , Christina Vidal (Freaky Friday, Magic Man),  and Kerry Washington (Bway’s RACE, Films: Ray, The Last King of Scotland, The Fantastic Four).

For over 25 years, the Drama Desk Award-winning TADA! Youth Theater has produced original musicals performed by kids aged 8-18 for family audiences. TADA! makes theater accessible through classes, school residencies, and a free youth development program for the most talented kids in the area.

Wednesday, October 13th  (4:00 – 6:00); Friday, October 15the  (4:00 – 6:00)
