We wrote about Realbirth closing almost 2 weeks ago. It was sad news for the devotees of the respected childbirth education center, but as we reported, there is some good news behind it. It seems a new entity is forming where a lot of the Realbirth instructors will be teaching.

Today, Realbirth sent out an official newsletter about their imminent end.

Dear Realbirth families-

Since opening in 2003 Realbirth has educated and supported over 12,000 parents in their transition to parenthood, we have been proud to have built such a wonderful supportive community in New Y0rk City.

Through your word of mouth, and the word of mouth of the amazing midwives and doctors who refer to us, our prenatal education programs we became NYC’s first premier childbirth education center.

It’s been a brilliant journey full of your amazing stories and we have been honored to be a part of your life at such a pivotal time.

However, the Directors, as majority shareholders, have decided to go their separate ways, and have made the very difficult decision to close Realbirth on June 30th.

We thank you for an incredible opportunity.
