Recall: Scooby, Tweety and Batman utensils from Peachtree

March 2, 2010

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Peachtree Playthings, today announced a voluntary recall of Children’s Fork and Spoon Sets by Peachtree Playthings. The recall is because the middle two prongs of the plastic fork can detach, posing a choking hazard to children. The company has received one report of a middle prong detaching from the fork. No injuries have been reported. About 127,000 of them were sold at Dollar Tree and Deals.  This recall involves the Scooby Doo, Tweety and Batman plastic fork and spoon sets. The two-piece set is white plastic with cartoon images on the handle.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled fork and spoon sets away from children and return them to Dollar Tree or Deals for a full refund.
