Brooklyn Gymnastics
1635 Bath Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11214 (Bay Ridge)
Starting at the tender age of 1, with adult assistance, we begin our training.
Children are encouraged to interact with others while learning the fundamentals of discipline, patience and self awareness. The program is taught in a
fun, noncompetitive atmosphere. Gymnastic training is continued through age 3 with a slow removal of adult
support. The children are encouraged to develop their independence. At age 4, participants graduate to regulation gymnastic equipment. With
the teaching of additional skills, our littlest gymnasts become more flexible
and coordinated.
When the children reach 6 years of age, they are trained on regulation
equipment for their gender. Classes are lengthened to 1 1/2 hours. The pre-team system is designed to prepare athletes for the step-up to
competitive gymnastics. All skills are taught at an advanced level. Classes
are extended to 2 hours. Our current level V through Elite gymnastic teams will participate at local, state, regional, national and invitational

I know people have continuously raved about Bklyn Gymnastics so I decided to enroll my son, age 3,  in a class, completely sight unseen. We took our free "try out" class and our son had so much fun, we’re hooked. Just thought I’d put a plug in because they have lots of time slot choices and age ranges. BG seems to allow a lot of makeup chances in case you have to miss. Also, it’s the EASIEST drive from Bay Ridge and parking’s no prob. Just fantastic!

We took the trial class when he was 13 months and we decided it wasn’t for us. But, then we decided to take it when he was 18 months old and he really likes it. There is a circle time in the beginning that might frustrate parents who take a music class because it might seem repetitive of their other activities. But don’t dismiss the class because of the circle time. My son is learning to walk on the balance beam, swing from the bars, somersault (front and back), running in a big circle (which helps with their periprehal vision), backwards running, jump on a moon walk, parachute, wheelbarrow walking, etc.
