Monday February 5th 1115a-12n. Free. Feeling the beat! Enjoy the power and pleasure of jazz, calypso & reggae through singing in this interactive performance with versatile entertainer Conroy Warren. Ages birth to 5 years.
Cupid’s Valentine Concert at Columbus Brooklyn Public Library
Monday February 5th 330p. Free. For all ages. Interactive music productions integrate a live music program with reading, singing, and non-stop audience participation. This creative interactive musical experience transforms fans from spectators to participators. Reading and signing are integrated with the use of screen-projected lyrics and graphics, as children become stars on stage, participating with guitars, maracas, dancing rainbows, dream catchers, and a wide assortment of props. Toddler Tuesdays @ Studio 1203 (Flatbush)
Tuesdays 1030a. $10/family. Singing, dancing, & piano discovery! Appropriate for ages birth to 4yrs with a caregiver. 25-30min guided program followed by 15-20min of piano discovery and/or free play. No shoes or food/beverage other than water permitted in the studio.
Open Play Space at the Clinton Hill Brooklyn Public Library
Tuesday February 6th 1030-1130a. Free. There will be no Kids Create! First 5 Years this Tuesday, but come hang out at the library with other families and watch your child learn through play! Children ages 0 – 5 years are welcome.
Neverland: Peter Returns at Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre (Central Park)
Opening Tuesday February 6th 1030a & 1130 and ongoing Tuesdays-Fridays 1030a & 1130a, Saturdays & Sundays 1p and special schedules during Mid-Winter & Spring Breaks. See website for schedule. Tickets are required for all performances and are $8 for children and $12 for adults. Based on J.M. Barrie’s iconic Peter Pan tales, Neverland: Peter Returns is the Swedish Cottage’s spin on the beloved children’s classic. Leaving their parents behind, the Darling children follow Peter Pan back home to Neverland for the adventure of a lifetime. When the cunning Captain Hook turns Peter’s pals Tiger Lily and Tinker Bell against him, the children team up with the Never Boys to save the day, learning the value of forgiveness and friendship.

The Perfect Monster at Tada! Youth Theater (Chelsea/Midtown West)

Sybil, a science nerd who constantly compares herself to so-called “perfect” people, sets out to create the “perfect” friend and ends up with a lab full of marvelous, merry, and mischievous monsters
Tales for the Teeny Tiny Series at the 67th Street NY Public Library
Wednesdays in February at 1130a. Free. Interactive stories, songs, finger plays and games. This program is for early walkers and toddlers, also for parents of infants who want to expose babies to language, songs and playful interaction. Presented by Getchie Argetsinger.
Kids Create: Valentine’s Craft Box at Crown Heights Brooklyn Public Library
Wednesday February 7th 4-5p. Free. Decorate a trinket box to give to your Valentine. Kids Create features arts and crafts geared for children ages 6-12. Bring your creativity and a smile! Children under 6 should be accompanied by an adult.

Mother-Daughter* Book Club Meet and Greet! at Brooklyn Heights Public Library
Thursday February 8th 330-5p. Free. Brooklyn Heights Library is starting a brand-new mother-daughter* book club! Let’s get to know each other with a meet-and-greet to kick off the group. All school-aged children are welcome. Tell your friends and join us for light refreshments at the library! *Parents/guardians and children of all genders welcome.
Toddler Open Play at Prospect Gymnastics (Flatbush/Ditmas Park)
Mondays & Wednesdays 930a-12n, Tuesday 1-3p, Thursdays 10a-12n & Sundays 3-5p until June 15th. Note: open plays is suspended duiring Winter break (2/19-2/23) & Spring Break (4/2-4/6). $15/single drop in, $100 10 class pass. Open playtime is for toddlers 4 and under. Open Play is drop in. Game of Jewish Life at the Jewish Children’s Museum (Crown Heights)
Mondays-Thursdays 1-4p & Sundays 12n-4p until February 22nd. $13/person includes Museum admission. In an adventure filled, life size Game of Jewish Life, you’ll find out how many steps to take using a giant spinner! Then, you’ll get a chance to celebrate your birthday with a mystery present box and a giant birthday cake! Start the school year with our magnetic classroom scene and add your good dead to the wall of Mitzvos! And for all those here for serious business, there’s a puppet theater to experiment with your favorite career!
Block Party at Brooklyn Children’s Museum (Crown Heights)
Ongoing until June 10th Tuesday-Sunday 10a-5p (open until 6p on Thursdays). Free with Museum admission. BLOCK PARTY brings together the elements of the iconic Brooklyn block party all under one roof, including a series of dimensional stoops set against a backdrop of artistic facades of residential buildings, and different ”street” and green spaces to play games, meet friends, relax, and have fun. Large-scale photographs by Brooklyn-based artist Anderson Zaca, who has long documented block parties in Brooklyn, will be featured and invoke the joy, action, and diversity of block parties celebrated annually across neighborhoods in New York City. Families will be invited to add to the photographs, and record their own images and experiences in the city among those of their neighbors.

Tuesdays-Fridays 10a-430p until February 28th & Monday February 19th 10a-430p and . Free! Admission charged all day Saturday & Sunday. Last admission into the Garden is 30 minutes before closing time.
Drop-In Sessions at Children’s Museum of the Arts (SoHo)
Monday-Friday 1045a-12n. $25/family. Savings for CMA Members: $10 off ($15 per family). No advance sign up required. Music time! Story time! Art time! Join CMA’s WEE teaching artists for an art-filled drop-in session when the museum is closed for general hours. Parent and/or caregivers are required to join and we encourage family collaboration throughout the class.
Tots Drop in Center at Congregation Beth Elohim (Park Slope)
Tuesdays-Fridays 915a-12p until April 15th 2018. Fees: Temple Member $10/child, $15 with additional sibling. Non-member $12/child, $18 with additional sibling. Visit Passes available for purchase. See website for more information. The tots drop-in center is place for children ages 0-24 months and their parents/caregivers to explore, learn, and have fun! Drop in for play with age-appropriate toys and activities in our social hall (large indoor space). No advanced registration required – please do drop in!
Open Play at at Edamama Cute Cuts & More (Williamsburg)
Monday-Friday 1-330p. $10/day. After a nap and lunch, but before bath and dinner, come to hang out and play with other 0-3 year olds at Edamama. Explore various award winning books or bring your own toy and play in a warm, safe, and enriching environment. Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Adult participation.
Drop-in Playspace at Recess (DUMBO)
Monday-Friday 9a-5p & Saturday-Sundays 9-1130a. Drop in $30 first child, $20 per additional child. Memberships also available for purchase. See website for details. Hello! Welcome to Recess, where playtime is easy with our flexible drop-in model. Our custom-made play structures are designed for curious minds and busy bodies to explore. Learning is fun at Recess too. Our talented staff and variety of programming will help your children learn what they like and have a great time doing it.

Drop in Play at SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum (DUMBO)
Wednesdays 1-5p, Thursday 1-6p (admission is free Thursdays) and Fridays-Sunday 1-5p. $15/child. (BCM Passport Members enjoy free admission). Each day at SPARK, kids can: BUILD IT! Design your own structures in our popular exhibit Brooklyn Block Lab. MAKE IT! Creativity abounds in our art activities that change each week. TOUCH IT! Get cozy in our Discovery Den featuring soft play and reading space, and a series of discovery drawers that hold treasures from our collection as well as tactile materials for little hands to explore.
Ed Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3-5p and also Saturdays and Sundays from 1–5p (except 11/23, 11/25 & 11/26). Free. The Ed Center is open for free, drop-in hours three afternoons a week! Get to know Brooklyn Bridge Park with our 250 gallon aquarium filled with critters from the East River, a 10’ scale model of Brooklyn Bridge Park, crafts, a reading corner, and much more!
Free Skating at The Rink at Bryant Park (Midtown West)
Daily 8a-10p until March 4th. Admission free! Skate rental: $20. Rink hours are weather permitting. See the website for all the bag check information. The centerpiece of Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, this 17,000 square foot rink features free admission ice skating, high quality rental skates, and free skating shows, special events, and activities. Many Holiday Shops are open on major holidays so start your shopping early!
