Tots Yoga: Walkers thru 3 + adult at Bend & Bloom Yoga (Park Slope/Gowanus)
Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays 10-1045a. $24 one child + one adult, $10 for each additional family member or $200 for 10 class pack, 6 month expiration. For walkers up to 3 and a parent or caregiver. Your babe will celebrate the wonders of mobility, communication, and independent exploration with you in this joyful class. Animated animal poses and imaginative games help toddlers to recognize (and eventually repeat!) patterns and tap their budding creativity. Our tot-centric poses improve motor coordination, cognitive development, and socialization while kids learn about the wonders of their body. Mat rentals are included for all Tots + Family classes
Lucy Kalantari & the Jazz Cats at the Mill Basin Brooklyn Public Library
Monday January 29th 430-530p. Free. Come and celebrate the grand re-opening of the Mill Basin Library with multi-award winning children’s artist, Lucy Kalantari, brings delightful jazz age inspired music everyone can enjoy! Kids and families will love the interactive jazz-scat-along play, while singing about the simple joys and delights of life.

Tuesday January 30th 11a-12n. Free. Get ready to play air guitar, jump high, go innie and outie, count the odds, pop the bubbles, stroll in the garden and do the “macaroni” with Monkey Monkey Music. Families will be given seating priority. Seating is limited. First come, first served.
Art Explorers at The Jewish Museum (UES)
Tuesday January 30th 4-5p. $10 per person; Jewish Museum Family Members: $8. For ages 3-4y. Location: Skirball Lobby. During this monthly program for preschoolers and their families, explore the Museum’s exhibition Scenes from the Collection with themed tours and engaging gallery activities. Discover exciting works of art by Eva Hesse, Deborah Kass, Camille Pissarro, and Kehinde Wiley, among others. Then, get creative in our art studio and experiment with sculpture, painting, collage and other media. The series continues on February 20, March 20, April 10 & May 15.
Pictures Under the Palms at Brookfield Place (Battery Park City)

Wednesdays 10a-12n. $9 general public, $6 Workaround Circle members. Join us Wednesday mornings this winter for a casual indoor get together over coffee (or tea!). We are a group of local parents connecting, networking, brainstorming and setting up playdates. Bring your little one and her toys, no outside food or drink and a one drink minimum requested. Adapted from Margaret Wise Brown’s bedtime stories, these theatrical adaptations of childhood classics feature the endearing animal puppets, stunning scenic effects, and evocative music that have earned Mermaid Theater of Nova Scotia International acclaim.
Bilingual Birdies Mandarin Series at the Battery Park City NY Public Library
Thursdays 4p until February 22nd. Free. For all ages. This Spring we’ll bring families on an out-of-this-world experience where we teach new vocabulary related to different modes of transportation, spring colors, and a big celebration of Myla Birdie’s birthday!!! All Mandarin teachers play guitar, percussion, and use puppets to teach in the most engaging way! Families get to bond through an intergenerational bubble dance party extravaganza at the end of each class. And it is so much more than just a language program!!! Bilingual Birdies celebrates Chinese culture in a time that is very important to embrace diversity.
Black History Month: Jackie Robinson Movie at the Ulmer Park Brooklyn Public Library
Thursday February 1st 5-7p. Free. Celebrate Black History Month with the Jackie Robinson Story and get a free book on Jackie Robinson. Limited number of books available, first come first serve basis.
Toddler Open Play at Prospect Gymnastics (Flatbush/Ditmas Park)
Mondays & Wednesdays 930a-12n, Tuesday 1-3p, Thursdays 10a-12n & Sundays 3-5p until June 15th. Note: open plays is suspended duiring Winter break (2/19-2/23) & Spring Break (4/2-4/6). $15/single drop in, $100 10 class pass. Open playtime is for toddlers 4 and under. Open Play is drop in. Game of Jewish Life at the Jewish Children’s Museum (Crown Heights)
Mondays-Thursdays 1-4p & Sundays 12n-4p until February 22nd. $13/person includes Museum admission. In an adventure filled, life size Game of Jewish Life, you’ll find out how many steps to take using a giant spinner! Then, you’ll get a chance to celebrate your birthday with a mystery present box and a giant birthday cake! Start the school year with our magnetic classroom scene and add your good dead to the wall of Mitzvos! And for all those here for serious business, there’s a puppet theater to experiment with your favorite career!
Block Party at Brooklyn Children’s Museum (Crown Heights)
Ongoing until June 10th Tuesday-Sunday 10a-5p (open until 6p on Thursdays). Free with Museum admission. BLOCK PARTY brings together the elements of the iconic Brooklyn block party all under one roof, including a series of dimensional stoops set against a backdrop of artistic facades of residential buildings, and different ”street” and green spaces to play games, meet friends, relax, and have fun. Large-scale photographs by Brooklyn-based artist Anderson Zaca, who has long documented block parties in Brooklyn, will be featured and invoke the joy, action, and diversity of block parties celebrated annually across neighborhoods in New York City. Families will be invited to add to the photographs, and record their own images and experiences in the city among those of their neighbors.

Drop-In Sessions at Children’s Museum of the Arts (SoHo)
Monday-Friday 1045a-12n. $25/family. Savings for CMA Members: $10 off ($15 per family). No advance sign up required. Music time! Story time! Art time! Join CMA’s WEE teaching artists for an art-filled drop-in session when the museum is closed for general hours. Parent and/or caregivers are required to join and we encourage family collaboration throughout the class.
Tots Drop in Center at Congregation Beth Elohim (Park Slope)
Tuesdays-Fridays 915a-12p until April 15th 2018. Fees: Temple Member $10/child, $15 with additional sibling. Non-member $12/child, $18 with additional sibling. Visit Passes available for purchase. Monday-Friday 1-330p. $10/day. After a nap and lunch, but before bath and dinner, come to hang out and play with other 0-3 year olds at Edamama. Drop in Play at SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum (DUMBO)
Wednesdays 1-5p, Thursday 1-6p (admission is free Thursdays) and Fridays-Sunday 1-5p. $15/child. (BCM Passport Members enjoy free admission). Each day at SPARK, kids can: BUILD IT! Design your own structures in our popular exhibit Brooklyn Block Lab. MAKE IT! Creativity abounds in our art activities that change each week. TOUCH IT! Get cozy in our Discovery Den featuring soft play and reading space, and a series of discovery drawers that hold treasures from our collection as well as tactile materials for little hands to explore.
Ed Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3-5p and also Saturdays and Sundays from 1–5p (except 11/23, 11/25 & 11/26). Free. The Ed Center is open for free, drop-in hours three afternoons a week! Get to know Brooklyn Bridge Park with our 250 gallon aquarium filled with critters from the East River, a 10’ scale model of Brooklyn Bridge Park, crafts, a reading corner, and much more!
16th Annual Holiday Train Show in Grand Central (Midtown)
Daily 6a-8p until Sunday February 4th. Free. The holiday season is a time of joy for kids of all ages and nothing says holiday enchantment quite like dazzled little faces watching in wonderment as model trains zip through tunnels, by subway stops, around familiar skyscrapers and through iconic cityscapes. To the delight of kids and railroad enthusiasts alike, the New York Transit Museum will continue its tradition of capturing hearts and imaginations at the 16th Annual Holiday Train Show at Grand Central Terminal starting in November and running through the New Year. The theme of the holiday train show changes every year and the event is free and open to the public.
Free Skating at The Rink at Bryant Park (Midtown West)
Daily 8a-10p until March 4th. Admission free! Skate rental: $20. Rink hours are weather permitting. See the website for all the bag check information. The centerpiece of Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, this 17,000 square foot rink features free admission ice skating, high quality rental skates, and free skating shows, special events, and activities. Many Holiday Shops are open on major holidays so start your shopping early!
