City Stomp Free Family Trial Class at STJME Lutheran Church (South Slope)
Monday September 11th 10a.  Free.  All trial classes are family classes for kids 6m to 4y old.
Please send an email to RSVP for trial classes. Due to crowding issues, we will not be able to accept people in trial classes without an RSVP.  Thank you for understanding.  To RSVP, please send an email to info@citystompmusic.com. Please make sure to give us your full name and your child’s name so we can add you to the list. We will send an email back to confirm as soon as possible. Stomp, Clap & Sing with Silly Jazz and Camille! at the Park Slope Brooklyn Public Library
Mondays 330-430p until October 23rd (except 10/9).  Free.  Come dance along to silly jazz with comedian and jazz singer Camille Harris! Popular songs include “The Monster Under My Bed,” “The Muffin Man,” and “Chopsticks.”

Community Dance Class with Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, A Dance Company at BRIC House Ballroom (Fort Greene)
Monday September 11th 630p-8p.  Free with RSVP.  RSVP here. All ages and skill levels are welcome to join us for a series of Community Dance Classes taught by Ronald K. Brown and members of his company, Evidence, A Dance Company.  Evidence blends traditional African dance with contemporary choreography and spoken word providing a unique view of human struggles, tragedies, and triumphs. These Community Classes, accessible for all ages and skill levels, are rooted in the Company’s fusion aesthetic and are the perfect alternative to another boring day at the gym. Come discover the joy of dance! No previous experience necessary.

Tuesday September 12th

CityParks PuppetMobile: Cinderella Samba at McGolrick Park (Greenpoint)
Tuesday September 12th 10-11a.  Free.  For all ages.  Cinderella Samba is a contemporary twist on the classic “Cinderella” fairy tale. The CityParks PuppetMobile production sets the timeless tale in the lush landscape of Brazil, where, thanks to the help of her fairy godmother, Cinderella attends Rio de Janeiro’s biggest Carnaval gala and dances the samba with Prince Paulo himself. After Cinderella is forced to flee the gala just before midnight, the prince sets out to find the mystery woman who stole his heart, in hopes of marrying her.

Lavender Blues at Pipsqueak Children’s Shoppe (Bedford Stuyvesant)
Tuesdays 1230p.  $15/drop-in. Babies Only! (0-12m) is a special 30 min infants only music class. A bit calmer and more intimate of a group! A lovely bonding experience for baby and you!  Lady B is back from her break!  See the website for all the drop in classes and also information on 10 class pack bundles.

Our Garden Club at the Flatlands Brooklyn Public Library
Tuesdays 430-530p until October 10th.  A garden grows in Brooklyn! Plant seeds, read stories, sing and take home plants. For kids with and without disabilities.

Wednesday September 13th

“Community Cowpoke Class” with Hopalong Andrew at Whole Foods (Gowanus)
Wednesdays 10-11a.  Free.  Whole Foods Brooklyn in Gowanus and New York City’s singing urban cowboy Hopalong Andrew will be holding a free cowpoke class on a weekly basis. These are urban cowboy-themed early childhood music & movement classes, primarily directed toward babies & toddlers.

Eloise Après Déjeuner at Dimenna Children’s History Museum (UWS)
Wednesday September 13th 3-5p.  Tickets: $50 per person (Members $45). Eloise fans of all ages can experience Eloise at the Museum with a special après déjeuner filled with fawncy treats and delicious drinks. Families will start the afternoon in the New-York Historical Society’s stunning Storico restaurant with a menu of savory and sweet treats, then continue the fun in the special exhibition Eloise at the Museum with a special read aloud story time.  See the website for the menu.

La Hora Mágica de los Pequeños in Sunset Park Brooklyn Public Libary
Wednesdays 330-430p in September.  Cuentos, Juegos, canciones, rimas y actividades divertidas para los pequeños de 1- 5 años. Programa bilingüe en español e inglés . Stories, games, songs, fingerplay, rhymes, and fun activities for Children ages 1-5 years old. Bilingual Spanish/ English.

Thursday September 14th

Yellow Sneaker Puppet Sing-Along at Sir D’s Lounge (Park Slope)
Thursdays 1030a.  $10 per child, $5 per additional sibling.  Yellow Sneaker presents a 45 minute interactive singalong with puppets, combining original songs, oldies, and traditional children’s music. Sing, clap, dance, and shake your sillies out! Geared towards kids age 0-5 and their families.

The 91st Annual Feast of San Gennaro
Starting Thursday September 14th and ongoing daily until Sunday September 24st.  The Feast of San Gennaro opens every day at 11:30 AM and closes at 11PM Sundays through Thursday’s and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.  See website for full schedule.  Free.  The 91st Annual Feast of San Gennaro will be held in Little Italy for 11 days from September 14, through September 24, 2017, on the streets of historic Little Italy, the lower Manhattan neighborhood which served as the first home in America for hundreds of thousands of Italian immigrants who came here seeking to improve their lives beginning in the early part of the 20th century.  Presented annually since 1996 by Figli di San Gennaro, Inc. (Children of San Gennaro), a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to keeping alive the spirit and faith of the early Italian immigrants, this year’s Feast is expected once again to attract more than one-million people from the four corners of the globe to the streets of Little Italy to participate in the annual Salute to the Patron Saint of Naples.

Hudson RiverKids: The Pop-Ups in Hudson River Park Pier 25 (Tribeca)
Thursday September 14th 4p (last one!).  Free.  Rain location: Pier 40 Lobby. Hudson River Park brings out all of your favorite New York City family performers each week! From music to magic to interactive storytelling, Hudson RiverKids will keep your family entertained all summer long! The 2017 season brings you MORE family fun than ever before! In addition to the Hudson RiverKids season running from May 22 through to Sept 14, these fantastic programs will be offered twice per week at two separate locations in order to give your community a better chance in catching the shows! This week the performance is The Pop-Ups!

Audra Rox Free Demo Week (various locations)
Monday-Saturday September 11th-16th.  All of our classes are Free!!  ake a Demonstration Class.  Our FREE DEMO week will follow our Fall schedule posted on-line. Returning families and those already signed up for the Fall session are welcome to join us too!!  This includes both Music for Aardvarks classes, birth to 5 years & AudraRox Musical Theatre classes, 3 to 5 years.  See website for schedule.

The Little People Party at The Backyard (Williamsburg)
Monday-Friday 10a-5p.  All day pass $20, monthly membership $125 and 10 pack of all day passes $150.  Recommended for ages 6m-3y.  Open Play!  Toys, music, fun & a really big space!

Preschool Play at Wagner Park (Battery Park City)
Mondays-Wednesdays 10a-12n in August, September & October. No program on 9/4 and 10/9. Free. Play is the cornerstone of early childhood development. Meet other toddlers, parents, and caregivers for interactive play on a grassy lawn. Sing and hear stories too! Carefully selected play equipment and toys are provided – plus water play!

Eloise Storytime at Dimenna Children’s History Museum (UWS)
Tuesdays-Fridays 2p until October 6th.  Free with Museum admission.  Skibble into the Eloise at the Museum story corner and listen to the exploits of the Plaza’s most famous resident.

Free Bike Mornings on Governors Island
Monday-Friday 10a-12n until September 29th.  Free Bike Mornings allows visitors to borrow a free bike from Blazing Saddle Bike Rentals for up to one hour every Monday-Friday from 10 AM to noon.  Learn more about bike rental here.

Drop in Play at SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum (DUMBO)
Wednesdays 1-5p, Thursday 1-6p (admission is free Thursdays) and Fridays-Sunday 1-5p. $15/child. (BCM Passport Members enjoy free admission). Each day at SPARK, kids can: BUILD IT! Design your own structures in our popular exhibit Brooklyn Block Lab. MAKE IT! Creativity abounds in our art activities that change each week. TOUCH IT! Get cozy in our Discovery Den featuring soft play and reading space, and a series of discovery drawers that hold treasures from our collection as well as tactile materials for little hands to explore.

Ed Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3-5p and also Saturdays and Sundays from 1–5p. Free. The Ed Center is open for free, drop-in hours three afternoons a week! Get to know Brooklyn Bridge Park with our 250 gallon aquarium filled with critters from the East River, a 10’ scale model of Brooklyn Bridge Park, crafts, a reading corner, and much more!
