Mondays 1030-1115a.  $10 per family. Matt Singer of The Big Littles plays super cute acoustic pop rock songs, deftly walking the tightrope of making genuinely enjoyable music for kids and for grownups.

Sing Along with Kathy at the Midwood Brooklyn Public Library
Monday March 6th 1115a-12n.  Free.  Singer- songwriter Kathy Byers brings her own brand of wholesome, original songs to the Library. Join us for a morning of music perfect for the kid in all us.

Community Dance Class at BRIC Arts | Media House (Fort Greene)
Monday March 6th 630-8p.  Free.  For all ages/levels.  All ages and skill levels are welcome to join us for a series of Community Dance Classes taught by Ronald K. Brown and members of his company, Evidence, A Dance Company.  Evidence, A Dance Company blends traditional African dance with contemporary choreography and spoken word providing a unique view of human struggles, tragedies, and triumphs. These Community Classes, accessible for all ages and skill levels, are rooted in the Company’s fusion aesthetic and are the perfect alternative to another boring day at the gym. Come discover the joy of dance! No previous experience necessary.

IHOP National Pancake Day at NYC locations
Tuesday March 7th 7a-7p.  With select locations offering extended hours until 10 pm — celebrate National Pancake Day® at IHOP® and get a FREE short stack of our Original Buttermilk Pancakes!Free.  Pancakes with a purpose.  In return, we ask that you make a donation to our charitable partners. Every stack served helps us reach our goal of raising $3.5 million for children battling critical illnesses.

Sing-along with Lloyd of Deedle Deedle Dees at Nunu Chocolates Cafe & Tap Room (Park Slope)
Tuesdays 10a.  $10 a family.  Lloyd H. Miller is the leader of all those sing-a-longs, the founder of the Deedle Deedle Dees, a Brooklyn NY-based educational band, and the co-writer (along with saxophonist / composer Roy Nathanson) of Trashed Out, a multi-media musical.  Join him Tuesdays at at Nunu Chocolates Cafe and Tap Room in Park Slope.

The Bedford Playdate! at the Bedford Brooklyn Public Library
Tuesday March 7th 11a-12n.  Free.  Stop by the Bedford Playdate to enjoy fun games and activities that delight young children and encourage early literacy.  Come to play and leave ready to turn ordinary objects in your home into your child’s favorite toys.  For babies and toddlers birth to 3 years with their parents and caregivers.

Wednesday March 8th

Caroline’s Comet Mobile at Children’s Museum of Manhattan (UWS)
Wednesday March 8th 10a & 1p.  5 and younger.  Free with Museum admission.  The Children’s Museum celebrates equality, empowerment and talent during this year’s Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.  Caroline Herschel was one of the first women recognized by the scientific community for her contributions in astronomy. Learn about her scientific achievements and make your own glow-in-the-dark mobile.

Teen Tech Week: Fun with iPads Scratch Jr. at the McKinley Park Brooklyn Public Library
Wednesday March 8th 3-4p.  Free.  Come join us in having some fun with our new iPads!  We will be checking out the Scratch Jr. App.  ScratchJr is an introductory programming language that enables young children (ages 5 and up) to create their own interactive stories and games. Children snap together graphical programming blocks to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing.

City Stomp at Dizzy’s (Park Slope)
Wednesdays.  Seating at 5:30 (show at 6p).  City Stomp are now doing shows every week at Dizzy’s.   Called the Best Place to Rock Out While Having Dinner by Time Out New York Kids, shows are free with a dinner reservation. Reservations required to make reservations please send an email to citystompdizzys@gmail.com.  Spaces fill up fast so email early!

12-24 month Play Group at Tot Town (Prospect Heights/Crown Heights)
Thursdays 10-1115a.  $18 per child or FREE for Tot Town Members.  Age specific guided open play, learning and socialization. Kids build crucial developmental skills thru open play and interaction. Tot Town is equipped with a wide variety of toys games and activities to support a child’s development.  Kids and caregivers have open access to Tot Town’s bright, fun, stimulating and spacious environment during group time.

Dr. Seuss’ Truffula Trees at Children’s Museum of the Arts (SOHO)
Thursday March 9th 12n-6p.  Free with Museum admission.  For ages 5+.  Using coffee filters, liquid watercolor and pipe cleaners young artists will build Truffula Trees to pay homage to Dr. Seuss on his birthday. CMA guests will revisit the story of The Lorax, learning about forestation and environmental conservation.

Kids Create: From Anansi to Zeus at the Fort Hamilton Brooklyn Public Library
Thursday March 9th 4-5p.  Free.  Register here.  “From Anansi to Zeus” is a “World Cultures” program offered by the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Children will explore the story “How Anansi the Spider Obtained the Sky-God’s Stories.” Anansi is a Caribbean and West African folktale character who sometimes takes the form of a spider. He is considered to be the spirit of all knowledge of stories and originated from the Ashanti people of Ghana.  For the art project, children will make an Adinkra cloth using personal symbols and patterns.

The Princess, The Emperor and the Duck at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre (Central Park)
Tuesday-Fridays 1030a & 12n and Saturdays & Sundays 1p until September 17th.  Tickets are $8/children and $12/adults.  A modern retelling of three classic Han Christian Andersen tales.  Set in Africa, China and our own Central Park, The Princess, The Emperor, and The Duck retells storyteller Hans Christian Andersen’s world-famous fairy tales — The Princess and the Pea, The Emperor’s New Clothes and The Ugly Duckling — bringing the Theatre to life with new marionettes and hand painted scenery. Guided by a narrating Owl, audience members fly into each story with the original tales that teach important life lessons still relevant to children today.

Drop in Play at SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum (DUMBO)
Wednesdays 1-5p, Thursday 1-6p (admission is free Thursdays) and Fridays-Sunday 1-5p.  $15/child. (BCM Passport Members enjoy free admission).  Each day at SPARK, kids can: BUILD IT! Design your own structures in our popular exhibit Brooklyn Block Lab.  MAKE IT! Creativity abounds in our art activities that change each week.  TOUCH IT! Get cozy in our Discovery Den featuring soft play and reading space, and a series of discovery drawers that hold treasures from our collection as well as tactile materials for little hands to explore.

Open Play at NURTURE{BKLYN} (Windsor Terrace)
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 930-1130a & Tuesdays & Thursdays 4-530p.  $10/drop in.  Class packs also available.  Unstructured indoor open play and socializing for babies & toddlers in a bright and cozy space that has all the comforts of home.  We offer several play areas for children as well as a cozy space for you to relax and have a cup of tea or coffee while your child explores and socializes.  Child-led play, parent/caregiver supervised.

Play Space Winter Schedule at Juguemos a Cantar (South Slope)
M-F 9a-12n and 330-530p until March 30th.  $12 per visit / Sibling $3 per visit.  There is no registration required for Drop-In Sessions. You can enjoy our playspace as a DROP IN (pay as you come), with our PLAY PASSES (pre-pay visits), or have a MEMBERSHIP (unlimited visits for 1 month).  Juguemos a Cantar Drop-In Play Space offers a social learning environment that includes exploration and interaction for kids 0 to 4y. A large, clean, well-equipped, airy indoor play area full of fun, music, a play kitchen, blocks, trains, doll houses, working bench, tools, puppets, soft play area, ball pit, books, craft table, & more.  Monday: Singalong with Damian & his drums (Spanish & English) 1015a, Tuesday: Singalong with Ivan & his drums 1015a, Wednesday: Singalong with Ale (Spanish/English) 1015a, Thursday: Singalong with Turcker 1015a and Friday: Storytime (Spanish/English) 1030a.

Tots Drop in Center at Congregation Beth Elohim (Park Slope)
Tuesdays-Fridays 915a-12p until April 7th, 2017.  Please note: the drop in center will be closed on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.  Fees: Temple Member $10/child, $15 with additional sibling.  Non-member $12/child, $18 with additional sibling.  Visit Passes also available for purchase.  See website for more information.  For ages birth through 24 months.  All children are accompanied by their adult.  Parents, caregivers, and children come together to discover, learn and have fun!  The Drop-In Center is held in our Social Hall, which becomes a large indoor play space with age-appropriate toys and activities.  The program is coordinated by an early childhood facilitator.

Open Play & Activities at Recess (DUMBO)
Monday-Thursday 9a-530p, Friday 9a-5p and Saturday-Sundays 9a–1130a*.  Drop in $30 first child, $20 per additional child.  Memberships/play packs also available for purchase.  (Please also bring socks for kids and adults).  At Recess, we understand the value of flexibility and convenience. Your kids may come in and play anytime during our scheduled play hours. We’re ready when you are!  Recess offers free weekly classes for members and drop-ins!  Recess Story Time (0 – 3 yrs), Monday at 11a & Tuesday at 3p. Recess Craft (6 mos – 3 yrs),Thursdays at 230p.   *Weekend afternoons are reserved for birthday parties.

Twinkle Playspace (Williamsburg)
Monday-Friday 10a–6p and Saturday-Sunday 8a-1130a.  First Time Pass – $25 (only for the first time).  $35 for additional visits.  Memberships also available.  Located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Twinkle’s 4500 square foot play space has innovative custom-made exhibits to cater to any child’s wildest imagination. These special exhibits, designed for the under 6 crowd, are a harmonious blend of urban life and nature that encourages the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of a child in an accessible, high-quality learning environment. Twinkle hosts open play 7 days a week and children can also have an unforgettable birthday with exclusive use of our playspace! So drift away and enjoy the ride with your child in this magical journey to a world of infinite discoveries and treasured moments.  Twinkle is a socks-only environment so please keep this in mind for children and adults entering the playspace. Parental supervision is required at all times, no drop-offs allowed. Parking is available under the BQE (Brooklyn-Queens Expressway) which is only a block away from us as well as street parking.

Toddler Open Play at Prospect Gymnastics (Flatbush/Ditmas Park)
Mondays & Wednesdays 10a-12n, Tuesdays 1-3p, Thursdays 10a-12n & Sundays 3-5p.  Note: week of 2/20-2/26 there is only Open Play on Sunday the 26th.  $15/single drop in, $100 10 class pass.  Open playtime for toddlers 4 and under. Parental supervision required.

Open Play at Curiosity on Court (Cobble Hill)
Monday-Friday 10a-6p & Saturday-Sunday 9a-6p.  Open Play drop-in: $25 per child, $45 for 2 siblings, $6- for 3 siblings.  Weekday monthly passes and pass packages also available.  Welcome to Curiosity on Court, a world of energy busting excitement! Our custom designed play structures and exhibits were created to raise the curiosity and fuel the imagination of kids 1–10 yrs old. Whether they’re conquering our climbing wall, taking a ride on the subway, making connections on the magnetic wall or finding their route through our multi-level play structure, there’s hours of fun for everyone.  Weekend Open Play hours are extended if we don’t have birthday party/event. Family Fun at Ms. J’s Gymnastics & Dance (Williamsburg)
Mondays-Wednesdays & Fridays 9a-330p, Thursdays 10a-330p, Saturdays 1-2p* and Sundays 9a-11a*.  Just $10 per visit.** Ms J’s Gym is for the whole neighborhood, especially during inclement weather!  Come practice tumbling, make a play date, or simply run around! Just $10 per visit.** Family Fun is parent or guardian supervised. Hang around with your child(ren) and have a blast! *Please note, we encourage that you visit our Facebook page and calendar tab for Family Fun closures.  Family Fun is closed during any parties & sometimes when weather is nice.  **All children must be members to participate in Family Fun Hours. Ed Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 1
Tuesdays & Thursdays 3-5p and also Saturdays and Sundays from 1–5p.  Free.  The Ed Center is open for free, drop-in hours three afternoons a week! Get to know Brooklyn Bridge Park with our 250 gallon aquarium filled with critters from the East River, a 10’ scale model of Brooklyn Bridge Park, crafts, a reading corner, and much more!
